For the new episode of Meet The Buyer FW24 by CoccoleBimbi, Cesare Morisco - art director and buyer - explores themes of universal love, respect, and freedom. With six distinctive looks and the use of iconic elements like the rainbow flag and the dove, Cesare transforms fashion into a powerful communication tool, using clothing and symbols to tell a story of inclusion and hope.
A Visual Journey into Universal Values
Cesare Morisco, art director and buyer at CoccoleBimbi, has brought to life a new edition of Meet The Buyer, this time celebrating universal love, respect, and freedom through kidswear fashion in the Fall Winter 24 collections.
With his signature creativity, Cesare has crafted a set that transforms these values into a powerful visual narrative that conveys universal messages. The protagonists, two children, wear six exclusive looks, each designed to convey the messages that CoccoleBimbi and Cesare have always championed.
Love for Love
The first look designed by Cesare celebrates Love with the Moschino sweatshirt featuring the LOVE inscription: a true manifesto, an iconic piece not only as a style statement but also as a declaration of values. It is paired with Dolce & Gabbana check bermuda shorts and Off White sneakers. Accompanying the look is the rainbow flag, a symbol of inclusion and diversity. The choice of this look is no coincidence: the sweatshirt, with its direct message, and the rainbow flag represent a call for respect for every individual.
Stillness and Grace
With the second look, the black ribbed knit dress by Molo is presented, completed by a maxi faux leather and faux fur vest by MM6 Maison Margiela and Timberland boots.
This minimal and sophisticated outfit, perfect for the first cold weather, leaves room for the message that the shot conveys. The iconic nature of the image and the strength of the meaning it transmits lie in the perfect fusion of style and symbolism. Every element of the outfit is carefully chosen to tell a story. The entire look, though seemingly basic, reveals itself as a manifesto of personal expression.
Enchanted Rainbow
The third outfit pairs the ivory skirt by Douuod with the sweatshirt by Molo. This item features fantastical winged animals in a vibrant rainbow palette. The combination of imaginary elements and bright colors is not only a tribute to freedom of expression, but also a nod to fantasy and joy.
With the rainbow flag, the girl embodies the magic of freedom and inclusion, showing that love and respect, just like the colors she holds in her hand, embrace all differences. The look is completed by Marni boots.
Universal Pink
In the world of kidswear fashion, where color and personal expression merge creatively, the total pink boy look represents an explosion of style and originality. An outfit that celebrates joy without boundaries. The choice of the pink faux fur by Douuod, soft and trendy, becomes the standout piece of this vibrant look, paired with a ribbed ensemble consisting of a shirt and pants by Bobo Choses, a texture that amplifies the visual impact of the look. To complete the outfit, the pink glitter sneakers by Golden Goose add a final glamorous touch, and the Clima bottle by 24Bottles.
The look gains further significance with the image of the dove perched on the child's hand: a frame full of symbolism that serves as the common thread throughout the campaign. This shot thus expresses a vivid celebration of individuality and personal expression, demonstrating that fashion can be a powerful tool for affirmation and creativity.
Hope in Red for Her
The campaign then features two looks, boy & girl, complementary in a shared celebration.
The girl's look centers around the red sweatshirt with a dove print by Bobo Choses. It is paired with the aqua green ruffle skirt by Douuod and purple sneakers also by Bobo Choses, which highlight the energy and vibrancy of the entire outfit, conveying a message of love and freedom.
Hope in Red for Him
The outfit complementary to the female version features the same red sweatshirt with the dove print by Bobo Choses paired with blue jeans by Timberland and MoonBoots in the same color as the sweatshirt, adding a touch of color continuity and ideal for colder days. The outfit is completed with a red fanny pack by Stone Island.
As with Hope in Red for Her, the shot conveys the message that the entire campaign – with its symbolic elements – communicates.
Fashion that Inspires: Transforming Values into Narrative
Cesare Morisco, with this shooting, delivers a powerful and clear message: fashion can be a vehicle for values. Each look, with its uniqueness and symbolism, contributes to a narrative that encourages self-expression and celebrates diversity. Cesare demonstrates that through fashion, it is possible to tell stories, creating a lasting and far-reaching impact.
In a world where fashion is often seen merely as a style statement, this shooting reminds us that it can also be a form of art and communication, capable of inspiring positive change and uniting people in a universal message.
